Tuia is an emerging writer and director of theatre and film based in Naarm/Melbourne, and a 2022 VCA Screenwriting graduate.

Her critically acclaimed play, Powder Room, premiered in 2023, and received online development funding from Screen Australia for a web series adaptation.

She is the co-creator of Lost Property, a one-woman show performed by Amelia Dunn, which premiered in Melbourne in 2024, and toured Adelaide Fringe, Camden Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe in 2025, receiving an EFFTA at Edinburgh Fringe.

She’s worked on various other theatre and film productions including The Waiting Room, (Silver Strings Productions) and was a playwright in Gasworks Script Lab 2024 program in the experienced stream.
