Tuia is an emerging writer and director based in Naarm/Melbourne, and a VCA Screenwriting graduate.

She’s the co-creator of Lost Property, a one-woman show performed by Amelia Dunn, which toured Melbourne, Adelaide, London, and Edinburgh, receiving an EFFTA award and OffFest Nomination at Edinburgh Fringe in 2025.

Her play, Powder Room, premiered in 2023, and received online development funding from Screen Australia for a web series adaptation currently in development.

Tuia is fascinated by contemporary stories that live in the messy, tender spaces of female and queer experiences. In her work, she enjoys unpacking the emotional intricacies that shape and strain the relationships within these communities.
